Dr. Mehta is a board qualified foot and ankle surgeon who completed her three-year surgical residency training at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
During her third year of residency, Dr. Mehta served as Chief resident and was in charge of leading fifteen co-residents to optimize patient care in a busy hospital system. Dr. Mehta attended The Ohio State University and received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and minored in women studies. She later attained her doctorate from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Mehta has a special interest in Sports Medicine and healing patients with conservative and surgical measures. She enjoys performing reconstructive and trauma surgery for various fractures or lower extremity deformities. She also has a great passion for diabetic foot care and limb preservation. She believes in early diabetic foot screening and preventative medicine and treatment.
Dr. Mehta is an active and competitive tennis player since the age of ten. She also enjoys biking, swimming, and cross-fit training. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. She loves traveling to different countries and spending time with her family and friends.
