Dr. Lili Hooshivar

Dr. Lili Hooshivar grew up in Los Angeles, California, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She went on to attend the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class. She completed her surgical residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center in Northern California, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. During her training, she gained extensive experience in both the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions and was actively involved in clinical research.

Dr. Hooshivar is Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is proud to be part of the Gotham Footcare team. Her clinical interests include forefoot reconstruction, including bunion and hammertoe correction, as well as the treatment of conditions such as Morton’s neuroma. She also has a strong interest in sports medicine and the treatment of tendon, ligament, and overuse conditions, including plantar fasciitis and tendonitis.

Dr. Hooshivar takes a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to care, considering both nonsurgical and surgical treatment options based on each patient’s individual needs. She places particular emphasis on identifying and addressing underlying biomechanical factors and incorporates treatments such as custom orthotics when appropriate. She believes patients should feel heard, supported, and well informed about their condition and treatment options. She works closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan that reflects their goals, lifestyle, and priorities.

Outside of work, Dr. Hooshivar enjoys running, hiking, traveling, discovering new shops and restaurants throughout New York City with family and friends, and spending time with her husband and their puppy. She welcomes patients in English, Farsi, and Spanish.
